Mila Beauté, a homegrown Indian skin-friendly color cosmetics brand, has raised $2.16 million in its Pre-Series A funding round led by Rukam Capital, valuing the company at approximately $35 million.

The freshly infused capital will primarily be deployed towards expansion and research & development. Mila Beauté aims to strengthen its core business in the color cosmetics segment while also investing in new product development, scaling operations, and deepening its market presence. A significant portion of the funds will go into upgrading its manufacturing capabilities, focusing on maintaining high product quality with minimal external dependencies.

Founded with a vision to create a truly Indian beauty brand, Mila Beauté has taken a distinctive approach by keeping its operations vertically integrated and minimising reliance on imports. This has not only ensured superior control over product quality but also aligned well with the ‘Make in India’ initiative.

The monumental event featured notable figures such as Archana Jahagirdar, recognized as one of the Top 20 Women in Venture Capital and the Founder of the consumer and tech-focused fund, Rukam Capital; Sana Sajan, Director of Danube Group; Ruchi Dana, President of DANA Group and Duluth Technologies – and Forbes Power Businesswoman 2020; Sonia Al Marzooqi, who is among the Top 51 Emirati Women Achievers; Anis Sajan, Chairman of Danube Group; Mona Ataya, Founder of Mumzworld.com and Co-founder of Bayt.com; Nandi Mehta, CFO of Kaaf Investments; Loubna Imenchal, Head of Enterprise Business at Logitech and Founder of Elevate; Nezha Alloui, CEO of Women Choice; Alia Fawad, CEO of One Digital Entertainment MENA; and, among others, who shared their insights and strategies for scaling businesses, ensuring a week rich with opportunities for mentorship, collaboration, and growth.
