Zoom Video Communications announced the launch of its new single-use webinar offering, which can host up to one million attendees. In addition to its monthly and annual webinar subscription options, Zoom now offers a range of single-use webinar options to accommodate larger event sizes. Customers can now choose webinars for 10K, 50K, 100K, 250K, 500K, and 1M attendee capacities. Each single-use webinar package includes support from Zoom’s Event Services team to ensure hosts deliver a professional, engaging experience.

“Zoom’s expanded capacity webinar offering is revolutionizing the way organizations can seamlessly connect and engage with massive audiences,” said Smita Hashim, chief product officer at Zoom. “Now event organizers have the flexibility and power to host truly interactive experiences on an unprecedented scale and the ability to purchase large single-use webinars.”

“With this new and expanded capacity for webinars, Zoom is opening new opportunities for innovative organizations,” said Wayne Kurtzman, IDC Research vice president of Social, Communities and Collaboration. “The rise of Zoom in this market now enables organizations to produce significant, large-scale, and engaging virtual events.”

Unmatched performance at scale
Zoom Webinars include capabilities that provide greater flexibility and reliability in the world of virtual events, delivering unparalleled webinar experiences for both hosts and attendees.

  • Ease of use: Event organizers can effortlessly set up webinars with just a few clicks, while attendees benefit from the familiar Zoom interface. Hosts can easily create professional-looking branded webinars with matching virtual backgrounds, name tags, and wallpaper.
  • Reliable: Zoom Webinars boast best-in-class video and audio quality, outperforming competitors and offering zero latency, ensuring all attendees experience the event in real time. Zoom’s webinar technology eliminates the 8-20-second delays common in other platforms that use streaming technology to achieve scale, setting a new industry standard for large-scale virtual events.
  • Interactive: Zoom Webinars offer interactive attendee features such as Q&A, chat, polls, quizzes, and surveys, fostering engagement and participation.
  • Flexible: Zoom offers various pricing plans for single events, including pay-per-event, pay-per-month, and pay-per-attendee, as well as monthly and annual subscriptions tailored for different frequencies and scales. For more advanced needs, customers can explore Zoom Sessions or Zoom Events, the company’s comprehensive virtual event platform.
  • Scale: Zoom is the only webinar platform that can expand to fit the needs of events for 10,000 to 1 million attendees. Webinars offer the ability to host sessions up to 30 hours long and feature up to 1,000 interactive video panelists, so hosts can effortlessly broadcast messages with a user-friendly webinar platform.

Zoom Webinars are available for purchase online and through direct sales channels. At launch, Zoom’s single-use webinar offerings will only be available in the U.S. For more information about Zoom’s new webinar offerings, please visit the Zoom Webinars website or contact a member of the sales team.

Addressing the need for scale across diverse audiences
Zoom’s new single-use webinar offering transforms how large-scale communications are conducted, enabling seamless interaction between hosts and audiences across all sectors.

  • Enterprise Sector: The world’s largest enterprises are constantly looking for ways to communicate more effectively with their workforce. With the ability to host webinars for up to 1 million attendees, companies can now bring together their entire global workforce in a single, unified event. This expanded capacity is ideal for large all-hands meetings, where CEOs and senior leaders can address every employee simultaneously, ensuring that critical messaging reaches the entire organization. Features like in-meeting Q&A, live polls, and chat enable real-time interaction, fostering a sense of community and inclusivity. Additionally, industry conferences and trade shows can now scale keynote sessions, allowing more participants to engage directly with industry leaders, driving higher levels of participation and engagement.
  • Entertainment: In the entertainment industry, connecting with key audiences remains critical. Celebrities and public figures can use Zoom’s expanded webinar capabilities to host virtual events, fan meet-and-greets, and more. The interactive features of Zoom Webinars allow the audience to engage directly with the public figure, creating unforgettable experiences. For brands, these large-scale webinars offer a unique platform to launch products, hold fundraisers, or host virtual events that resonate with audiences on a personal level.
  • Public Sector: Government agencies and nonprofit organizations often face the challenge of disseminating information to large, diverse populations. Zoom’s single-use webinar packages provide a powerful solution for public addresses, town halls, and community outreach initiatives, allowing leaders to connect with citizens on a massive scale. Whether it’s a national leader addressing thousands of citizens during a crisis or a global nonprofit launching a major campaign, the ability to host up to 1 million attendees ensures that these important messages reach a wide audience.

Zoom Video Communications announced the rollout of Zoom Docs, its AI-first collaborative docs solution. Zoom Docs is powered by Zoom AI Companion, the company’s generative AI assistant available at no additional cost, to help drive productivity and seamless collaboration throughout Zoom Workplace.

“Zoom Docs is our first Zoom Workplace product with generative AI built in from the ground up; it effortlessly transforms information from Zoom Meetings into actionable documents and knowledge bases, so teams can stay focused on meaningful work,” said Smita Hashim, chief product officer at Zoom. “Zoom Docs is included at no additional cost with Zoom Workplace paid licenses, creating even more value for our customers. With AI Companion available every step of the way, Zoom Docs is purpose-built to empower people to ‘work happy’ and give them more time back in their day.”

Zoom Docs transforms team collaboration
Zoom Docs can help solve critical challenges facing modern workforces, including time wasted on repetitive tasks, information overload, and facilitation of cross-functional alignment. By utilizing Zoom AI Companion to convert meeting outcomes into actionable documents, Zoom Docs can jumpstart content creation and adapt to different individual and team needs to help boost workers’ productivity.

Zoom Docs’ AI-first capabilities help Zoom Workplace users make teamwork more collaborative and effective, optimize productivity by keeping information organized, and reduce silos by empowering teams to communicate and share information more fluidly. Potential use cases for Zoom Docs include:

  • Meeting collaboration: Zoom Docs simplifies meeting collaboration with AI Companion by transforming meeting content into meaningful documents, centralizing meeting summaries with meeting docs, and facilitating co-editing on docs within meetings.
  • Business documents: Whether creating content, business proposals, or reports, AI Companion for Zoom Docs makes content generation, revision, summarization, and translation easy for global teams.
  • Project planning: Planning complex projects can be messy. Zoom Docs can help with time-saving templates for project briefs and tracking for a variety of use cases like product launches, marketing campaigns, and event management, consolidating project-related materials, and improving visibility across progress tracking, status updates, and timelines.
  • Information hub: Useful for knowledge-base creation, team onboarding, and goal tracking, users can build robust wikis for a single source of information.

Additional AI-first capabilities help teams do their best work
With the power of AI Companion, Zoom Docs simplifies work and brings information together for optimal results.

  • Turn AI Companion meeting summaries into easily editable docs, freeing up time spent on note-taking and manually copying notes into a shared document with templates for one-on-ones, stand-up meetings, brainstorming, project updates, discussions, Q&As, customer success, user feedback, and more.
  • Generate content based on AI Companion meeting transcripts. Use custom or preset commands or queries with AI Companion to further create and revise content.
  • Revise and summarize content such as articles, plans, and outlines, change tone and style, catch grammatical and spelling errors, and translate content into nine languages (with support for additional languages planned) for multilingual teams with AI Companion.

Maximize meeting effectiveness to drive better outcomes
Meetings are core to Zoom Workplace, and Zoom Docs builds on that experience by enhancing collaboration before, during, and after meetings, empowering users to stay more aligned and achieve better results.

  • Start and schedule meetings from a Zoom Doc to connect with colleagues and quickly streamline workflows.
  • Create, share, and co-edit docs during meetings. Meeting attendees can follow along with the presenter, co-edit, and comment on the doc in real time without leaving the meeting window. Attendees on mobile devices can view in-meeting doc collaboration without signing in.
  • Create an editable and shareable doc that includes relevant meeting information from a meeting in a customizable format.
  • Streamline permission sharing to reduce time spent granting access to docs with bulk permission settings for meeting attendees, and the ability to grant temporary access to meeting attendees to collaborate during the meeting. Users can also share Zoom Docs in Team Chat channels and with individuals in specific chats directly from Zoom Docs.
  • Share docs across Zoom Workplace via Zoom Team Chat or Zoom Mail or invite colleagues to collaborate live in Zoom Meetings to streamline editing.

Get work done in one place for better results
Adapt docs to different individual and team needs to keep collaboration fluid and information organized.

  • Customize docs with content blocks for texts, tables, images, charts, and more to help increase efficiency and reduce information management across multiple apps. Add data tables for team collaboration and planning to track assignments and projects. Add checklists, images, videos, and callouts to make the doc more engaging, and utilize the multi-column layout for greater flexibility in organizing content.
  • Embed content from across Zoom Workplace and third parties like Zoom Whiteboard, Google Drive, Figma, X, and YouTube to make information centrally accessible.
  • Stay organized by starring frequently used docs or quickly filtering docs by author for quick access.

Optimize team collaboration
Reduce silos and keep collaborators informed, connected, and aligned.

  • Keep an eye on progress using tables, checklists, and trackers for activities, due dates, status, and assigned owners, with various views like Kanban boards, calendars, and galleries.
  • Organize team documents in dedicated wikis to provide central locations for shared information.
  • Group, filter, sort, and search data tables to easily visualize information and quickly locate the needed data.
  • Edit concurrently with up to 100 users in a single Zoom Doc, and tag teammates in edits and comments.
  • Quickly add, remove, and change permissions for internal teammates and external users to confidently share and collaborate on a doc’s contents.

Zoom Docs with AI Companion is included with all paid Zoom Workplace plans. Basic (free) users can create up to 10 shared docs and unlimited personal docs without AI Companion but can upgrade to Zoom Workplace Pro, Business, or Enterprise plans for access to AI Companion capabilities across Zoom Workplace, including Docs. Account owners and admins may enable or disable AI Companion for Zoom Docs.

Zoom Docs is available beginning today for users of the Zoom Workplace app, version 6.1.6 or later, which can be downloaded from the Zoom website, and users can also access Zoom Docs from the Docs web homepage or the Zoom Web App.

Zoom announced that Zoom AI Companion (formerly Zoom IQ), the company’s generative AI digital assistant, is now included at no additional cost with the paid services in their Zoom user accounts. AI Companion reinforces Zoom’s vision to deliver limitless human connection on one platform, empowering people by increasing their productivity, enhancing their skills, and improving team effectiveness. Zoom also announced that Zoom IQ for Sales, its conversational intelligence software, will be renamed Zoom Revenue Accelerator.

Since Zoom introduced generative AI in early June, thousands of companies have benefited from free trials of Team Chat compose and Meeting summary. Beginning this fall, Zoom will significantly expand its generative AI offering across its platform with the launch of AI Companion, at no additional cost with paid Zoom user accounts.

Zoom’s federated approach to AI delivers high-quality results and lowers costs by dynamically incorporating its own large language models, along with third-party models such as Meta Llama 2, OpenAI, and Anthropic.

Rooted in this unique approach, Zoom AI Companion delivers powerful, real-time digital assistant capabilities to help users improve productivity and work together more effectively. Zoom customers can expect to see AI Companion throughout the entire platform, from Meetings, Team Chat, Phone, Email, and Whiteboard, with additional features on the roadmap.

“We are transcending the hype in generative AI by delivering tangible products and disrupting the industry’s pricing model, making it easy for businesses and people like you and me to leverage generative AI’s full benefits in our day-to-day work,” said Smita Hashim, chief product officer at Zoom. “We were founded on doing what’s right for our customers, and we firmly believe that offering Zoom AI Companion at no additional cost to our paid Zoom user accounts delivers tremendous value as we all navigate the challenges facing us today. We are excited to see our customers and users start using AI Companion and about our strong roadmap for further innovation underpinned by a commitment to responsible AI.”

How Zoom is Putting Customer Privacy First with Generative AI
Zoom’s goal is to invest in AI-driven innovation that enhances user experience and productivity while prioritizing trust, safety, and privacy. In August, Zoom shared that it does not use any customer audio, video, chat, screen-sharing, attachments, or other communications-like customer content (such as poll results, whiteboards, or reactions) to train Zoom’s or third-party artificial intelligence models. Additionally, AI Companion is turned off by default — account owners and administrators control whether to enable these AI features for their accounts. Zoom provides admins and users control and visibility when AI features are being used or activated. By putting its customers’ privacy needs first, Zoom is taking a leadership position, enabling its customers to use AI Companion and its capabilities with confidence.

Modern Work Powered by Zoom AI Companion
AI Companion makes it easy and frictionless to collaborate and become more productive, removing repetitive tasks and distractions, and helping teams collaborate more effectively.

AI Companion incorporates several new real-time AI capabilities immediately, with additional capabilities expected to launch over the next few months. AI Companion is transforming modern work in the following ways:

  • With Zoom Meetings, users can watch recordings faster through highlights and smart chapters, and review summaries and next steps, so they can easily catch up on a missed meeting. In the meeting, if enabled by the meeting host, attendees can catch up quickly without disrupting the meeting flow by discreetly submitting questions via thein-meeting AI Companion side panel to receive an AI-generated answer on what they missed. Post- meeting, hosts can receive an automated meeting summary to share with attendees and those who were unable to attend a meeting. These capabilities help team members who may be in different time zones catch up asynchronously. Planned for spring 2024, users will also have the ability to receive real-time feedback on their presence in meetings, as well as coaching on their conversational and presentation
  • Zoom Team Chat is critical for real-time and asynchronous work, but it is easy to get lost in the volume of messages. AI Companion allows users to quickly draft messages based on the context of a chat thread, as well as change tone and length, so they can spendless time composing replies. In the coming weeks, users will be able to catch up on long chat threads through generative AI summarization, and by early 2024, users will have the ability to auto-complete chat sentences and schedule meetings from a chat.
  • This fall, Zoom Whiteboard users will get help from AI Companion with generatingand categorizing ideas, and by spring 2024, users will be able to harness their whiteboard content to generate images and populate whiteboard templates.
  • Additionally, in early fall, Zoom Mail users will be able to get draft email suggestions. By spring 2024, users will be able to add meeting summaries to Notes and summarize SMS threads and calls with ZoomPhone.
  • In spring 2024, users will be able to interact with AI Companion through a conversational interface that will be able to understand the context of questions and support users with their content across the Zoom platform, such as prior meetings, chats, and select connected third-party apps, even initiating actions on their behalf. For example, users will be able to interact with AI Companion to get help with:

Pre-meeting preparation: Ask AI Companion to find the status of key projects to prepare for an upcoming customer meeting. AI Companion will be able tosurface knowledge from meetings, chats, whiteboards, emails, documents, and, with users’ permission, from third-party applications on behalf of the user, to provide the latest updates.
In-meeting real-time support: Ask AI Companion real-time questions during the meeting to catch up on key points in the discussion, create and file a support ticket on an issue raised during a call, or provide a draft response to a question raised during the meeting.
Post meeting: Ask AI Companion to summarize the meeting that was held, automatically identify action items and key stakeholders, and surface the next steps to the relevant stakeholders in Team Chat or, with users’ permission, in their third-party applications.

Easy intuitive interface
Users will be able to access AI Companion from within their existing workflows such as within Zoom Meetings, Zoom Team Chat, and Zoom Whiteboard for capabilities such as Meeting summaries, Team Chat compose, and Whiteboard generation with a simple, easy-to-use experience. Starting now, users can additionally have interactive capabilities with AI Companion via a side panel by accessing these directly within the Meetings experience; this capability will expand across the Zoom platform in spring 2024, as capabilities are added.

Zoom has announced Notes, a new workspace to create and collaborate before, during, and after meetings. Notes allow users to create and share content within a Zoom Meeting and collaborate with others on the call for real-time inputs—eliminating the distraction of jumping between Zoom and third-party documents and tools. Users can even continue to work in Notes outside of meetings asynchronously and share them for collaboration anytime, anywhere.

“We wanted to offer a clean user experience that allows users to create agendas and notes while staying within the Zoom platform instead of jumping to other content management tools,” said Darin Brown, head of productivity applications at Zoom. “With Notes, it’s seamless to create and share personal and collaborative notes in and out of meetings.”

With Notes, Zoom users can seamlessly collaborate before, during, and after meetings so that all necessary stakeholders are on the same page:

  • Before a meeting: Create a note, build an agenda, and share it with attendees in advance of the meeting.
  • During a meeting: Open a note and share it with others so they can collaborate during the meeting.
  • After a meeting: Share a note with anyone who may benefit from the content.

Functionality
Users will be able to easily access existing notes from the in-meeting navigation bar or start a new note during a meeting. Note creators will have the ability to initiate a sharing session during the meeting to collaborate in real-time, just like Zoom Whiteboard.

Notes offers a robust editor with extensive formatting options such as font, styling, bullets, colours, and more. Additionally, users can add images and links to their Notes, and content is auto-saved at regular intervals to preserve work. From quick and simple memos to robust notes and documentation, Notes provides a clean workspace to capture and share content in and out of meetings.

Notes creators have the ability to grant access to other attendees during a meeting only or to extend access after the meeting. If an attendee joins late and a note has already been shared in the meeting, they will see the shared note at the top of their Notes tab in the Zoom client. Users also have the ability to multitask by taking notes alongside the meeting, or by expanding and collapsing the right panel so they can take notes on another screen.

The Notes dashboard also offers the ability to sort, filter, and share Notes. Users can take advantage of key management functions like starring (favoriting) a note for later, and deleting, editing, or sharing a note directly from the dashboard.

Available for all users at no additional cost, Notes will roll out in the coming weeks.

Zoom announced two key updates and investments in its Zoom Events portfolio — Production Studio and a Zoom Events hybrid experience including the mobile app for events. These new features will help event professionals expand their reach and foster community beyond the events, engage and inform audiences while building connections across in-person and virtual audiences, and simplify the hybrid experience.

Production Studio makes customizing and producing engaging virtual events a snap
Zoom launched Production Studio for Zoom Events and Zoom Sessions, a new feature for event professionals to easily create virtual event design elements for polished, professional, and dynamic events. Now available globally with a Zoom Events or Zoom Sessions license, Production Studio allows event, marketing, and internal communications professionals to free up their time and budget that is usually spent working with a production agency.

“Now, every event pro has access to professional-looking events in an easy-to-use interface, without spending thousands of dollars on a production agency,” said Annika Elias, product manager at Zoom. “Other ‘out of the box’ webinar solutions don’t allow you to customize the look and feel of your event, which makes for a bland and less engaging experience. With Production Studio, event specialists can curate and customize the attendee experience without needing specialized design skills.”

Whether planning internal events like an All Hands webinar or external marketing events like product demos, Production Studio provides dynamic layout options, custom branding, and presenter management tools to make every virtual event visually engaging and uniquely branded.

Production Studio includes the following features to make virtual events look unique and on-brand:

Dynamic layout selection

  • Choose from 50+ customized layouts
  • Flexible aspect ratios
  • Ability to adjust space between videos

Customized branding

  • Create multiple webinar scenes per session with shared screen layout options
  • Determine scene sequencing
  • Border editing
  • Customized wallpapers for each scene

Presenter management tools

  • Pre-route people in scenes
  • Update the presenter in live scenes

Technical features

  • Cloud recording
  • Lobby and third-party live-streaming capabilities
  • Easy setup within the Zoom Events portal

In the coming months, existing Webinar customers will be able to unlock all Production Studio features instantly through the web portal by upgrading to a Zoom Sessions or Zoom Events license.

New features, including a mobile app, improve hybrid event experience
Today Zoom also announced its updated mobile app with access to Zoom Events. Available globally for Android and iOS, attendees can access the hybrid event experience from their existing Zoom mobile app, so there’s no need to download an event-specific app they will use only once. The mobile app makes managing an itinerary, event chat, session Q&A, and networking easier for on-the-go participants.

Through the Zoom mobile app, attendees can join the event, explore, bookmark, and attend sessions, receive important event notifications, navigate the physical space using maps and digital aides, easily switch between in-person and virtual / on-demand sessions, and connect with other in-person and virtual attendees. During live events, mobile app users can access event sessions, participate in chats, polls, and Q&A, and view recordings of past events.

Zoom has also enhanced its hybrid setup flow for event hosts. Event professionals today struggle with planning hybrid events, feeling like it requires twice as much work, and Zoom Events aims to simplify that process with new features. Now available in the web portal, event professionals can use templates to easily set up hybrid events, including the ability to build out hybrid ticketing, add venue maps, and set up a native hybrid experience via the Zoom mobile app.

Host hybrid event capabilities

  • Pre-event host setup (web)
    • Event setup (virtual / hybrid / in-person)
      • Event level
      • Session level
    • Ticketing (virtual / hybrid / in-person)
    • Mapping: upload maps, drop pins, and associate sessions
    • Badge printing integration with xTag
  • In-Event: Attendee experience (native mobile)
    • Event discovery: meeting feed and “Events” tab in the Zoom app
    • Check-in (join): links, QR codes, manual
    • M / W companion mode: shared chat / Q&A, no video / audio, “go virtual” controls
    • Mapping: view maps, find sessions, find rooms
  • Existing desktop features:chat, networking, and itinerary (excluding Expo)
  • Post-Event: Attendee experience (native mobile)
    • VOD: view recordings on mobile

Catch Production Studio and the Zoom Events mobile app in action Oct. 3–4 at Zoomtopia, where Zoom will be using the feature to bring virtual content to life.

Sony Middle East and Africa announced that Zoom Video Communications, Inc. will be coming to Sony’s BRAVIA TVs that are compatible with BRAVIA CAM. This partnership will allow users to easily connect with friends, family, and colleagues for video calls and meetings from the comfort of their living room. Sony’s BRAVIA is the first TV brand to support the Zoom for TV app on Google Play Store.

With Zoom on BRAVIA TVs, users will be able to take advantage of all the features that make Zoom one of the leading video communication platforms. This includes video communication on a TV screen, screen sharing, and collaboration tools. Users will also be able to use BRAVIA CAM’s advanced features – it recognises where you are in the room and how far you are from the TV, then adjusts sound and picture settings so they’re just right. All of that is possible with a very simple setup – when using a compatible TV with a BRAVIA CAM, it only takes downloading the Zoom app from Google Play and launching it with the TV’s remote.

“We are excited to partner with Zoom to bring video conferencing to our BRAVIA TVs, making Zoom services available on the Android TV platform” said Shusuke Tomonaga, Head of BRAVIA TV Product Design, Product Technology Center, Sony Corporation. “This partnership will make it possible for our customers to enjoy more realistic video communication on a large TV screen in the living room, enabling them to be more connected with the people they care about, whether they are working from home, learning remotely, or just catching up with friends and family.”

“We are thrilled to work with Sony to bring Zoom to their BRAVIA TVs,” said Eric Yu, Head of Hardware Partnership at Zoom. “We are allowing our customers to enjoy the best of both worlds – the convenience of video conferencing on their TV and the power of Zoom’s collaboration tools.”

Zoom announced the launch of the award-winning Intelligent Director for Zoom Rooms. For hybrid meetings with a Zoom Room, Intelligent Director uses AI and multiple cameras to provide the best image and angle of participants in the room so remote participants can see each person clearly, even in large conference rooms.

“As more people return to the office, it’s no longer enough to deliver the best remote worker experience; every business needs a solution to deliver the best hybrid meeting experience,” said Smita Hashim, chief product officer at Zoom. “Even with some employees in the office, oftentimes other team members are dispersed, so meeting equity and inclusion become more important than ever. Intelligent Director is the solution that can bring employees together, regardless of location, so they can truly connect face-to-face.”

Intelligent Director is specifically designed for medium- to larger-sized rooms and helps avoid the “bowling alley effect.” Intelligent Director can individually frame up to 16 participants in a Zoom Room using multiple cameras, choosing the best video stream via a Zoom-designed AI, and send that stream to the gallery view of the Zoom Meeting.
An evolution of Zoom’s Smart Gallery feature, which uses a single camera and AI to give each person in a small to medium-sized room their own space in a Zoom Meeting, Intelligent Director takes this same technology to the next level for larger conference rooms.

For bigger meeting spaces, it is easier to be hidden by others when only using a single camera, so Intelligent Director’s multi-camera configuration and use of video AI technology provide meeting equity to everyone in the room, selecting the best view of each individual, even if they move around or turn their heads. Remote participants can now have face-to-face conversations with each Zoom Rooms participant, allowing in-room participants to be seen and heard.

Intelligent Director is made possible through the support of Zoom’s hardware partner ecosystem. Manufacturers, including Apple, AVer, Dell, HP | Poly, Intel, Logitech, and Yealink have supported Zoom with the computer, controller, and camera solutions necessary to produce this major advancement.

Zoom today announced the acquisition of Workvivo to extend Zoom’s platform and offer its customers new ways to keep employees informed, engaged, and connected.

Founded in 2017, Workvivo provides a modern, feature-rich employee experience platform, combining advanced internal communication and engagement tools, a social intranet, and an employee app, all blended into one central hub, forming the heart of a company’s digital ecosystem. Workvivo’s best-in-class offering has seen triple-digit growth in the last three years and is used and trusted by hundreds of customers worldwide, from SMBs to some of the world’s most well-known brands, including Liberty Mutual, Lululemon, Ryanair, Madison Square Garden, and Wynn Resorts.

“We are excited to welcome the Workvivo team to Zoom. The power of Workvivo employee experience platform, with its robust communications and engagement offering combined with Zoom’s all-in-one collaboration platform, allows organizations to fully unlock the potential of their employees and evolve their company culture in a hybrid world,” said Kelly Steckelberg, chief financial officer at Zoom. “Workvivo has set the standard for employee communications, helping businesses reach and engage millions of employees worldwide. Workvivo prioritizes ease-of-use and simplicity of design, offering the best user experience which is a perfect match to Zoom’s DNA.”

“Zoom’s rapid pace of innovation and the persistent dedication to building products with a human-first mindset is why we are most excited about joining the team,” said John Goulding, CEO and co-founder at Workvivo. “Our platform replaces outdated, clunky, internal communications tools with a vibrant, familiar social experience, and has a proven history of unparalleled levels of adoption. With Zoom, we can build great things together, make teamwork more meaningful, and extend collaboration beyond knowledge workers, allowing us to reach employees who have historically felt disconnected from the company.”

With this acquisition, Zoom continues its evolution to provide the best end-to-end collaboration platform focused on enabling modern work and powering the digital-first workplace.

Following the close of the transaction, Zoom plans to incorporate Workvivo’s capabilities into its platform to deliver a best-in-class, employee experience. Workvivo’s founders John Goulding and Joe Lennon, and the entire Workvivo team,  will be instrumental in driving employee experience innovation strategy.

At Enterprise Connect, Zoom announced the expansion of Zoom IQ, a smart companion that empowers collaboration and unlocks people’s potential by summarizing chat threads, organizing ideas, drafting content for chats, emails, and whiteboard sessions, creating meeting agendas, and more. The company also announced it will use OpenAI to bolster its unique federated approach to AI based on flexibility.

Zoom’s federated approach to AI leverages its own proprietary AI models, those from leading AI companies– such as OpenAI –and select customers’ own models. With this flexibility to incorporate multiple types of models, Zoom’s goal is to provide the most value for its customers’ diverse needs. These models can also be customized to perform better for a customer, based on their vocabulary and requirements.

Zoom has long built AI solutions into our products to empower customers to be more productive,” said Smita Hashim, chief product officer at Zoom. “We are excited to bring many more capabilities with new large language models. Our unique approach to AI will give customers the flexibility they want and help significantly improve collaboration and customer relations.”

In today’s work environment, workers find it increasingly difficult to balance workday priorities between emails, team chats, meetings, and project management tasks. Teams are also looking for ways to better co-create effectively in real-time. To help solve these challenges, Zoom IQ will have a host of new capabilities scheduled to release soon, including:

  • Zoom IQ chat compose: Zoom Team Chat users can soon use the compose feature to help compose messages based on conversational context in addition to changing message tone to customize suggested responses.
  • Zoom IQ email compose: Harnessing the power of Generative AI, users will get email draft suggestions in response to the conversational context from prior Zoom Meetings, Zoom Phone calls, and email threads. Available initially in Zoom IQ for Sales.
  •  Zoom IQ meeting summary: Generate a summary, capture next steps, and share via Team Chat, Zoom Calendar, and email without recording the conversation, so those who didn’t attend will no longer have to sit through lengthy recordings.

Additionally at Enterprise Connect, Zoom is showcasing the following innovations to make teamwork more meaningful and strengthen customer relationships:

  • Zoom Huddles (formerly Zoom Spots) is a new video-enabled virtual coworking space designed to foster ad-hoc discussions and relationship building, to replicate the “working alongside” aspect of an open office and encourage free-form video-first conversations.
  • Intelligent Director uses multiple cameras in a Zoom Room to determine the best angle of the individuals in the room to display within the meeting. With high-quality, reliable video and voice, Intelligent Director also provides a best-in-class experience for remote participants. Available in beta soon.
  • Zoom Scheduler makes it easy to find the perfect time for meetings by sharing the host’s availability so others (even external participants) can conveniently book appointments. Zoom Scheduler reduces the back-and-forth hassle of manual scheduling by placing a meeting on the host’s calendar with a Zoom Meetings link already included, saving both participants time. Zoom Scheduler works seamlessly with Zoom Meetings and Zoom Mail and Calendar, and integrates with Google Calendar and Microsoft 365, so hosts can use their preferred calendar.

Logitech unveiled its Brio 300 series, a line of compact, plug-and-play webcams with Full-HD 1080p resolution, auto light correction and a noise-reducing mic, for more natural and productive video call experiences at an attractive price.

“We surveyed more than 3,000 remote workers and found that most non-webcam users struggle with poor lighting conditions, unflattering camera angles, and low-quality sound from their laptop speakers. Brio 300 series webcams are perfect for those who want to make the easy but substantial jump to significantly improve their video meeting experiences with an external webcam,” said Scott Wharton, general manager of Logitech B2B. “And for companies who need to provide certified, simple-to-use webcams to employees’ home or office workstations, Brio 305 is that budget-friendly option.”

The Brio 300 series (Brio 300 and Brio 305) are Full-HD 1080p webcams with high dynamic contrast, auto light correction, and a single digital microphone with noise reduction, so users are seen and heard clearly despite poor lighting and background noise. With a reliable meeting experience every time, users can join video calls feeling confident and engaged.

The webcams connect to computers through a USB-C port, making it simple to join video meetings. Afterward, a quick spin of the built-in privacy shutter gives users assurance the camera lens is blocked and no longer showing their workspace.

The unconventional cone shape design adds personality to every workspace. Available in off-white, graphite and rose colors, the webcams pair harmoniously with Logitech mice and keyboards for a stylish and coordinated setup.

Brio 300 series is the latest offering in Logitech’s portfolio of webcam products to support the New Logic of Work, where personal workspaces are individualized, easy to set up and use, and consciously designed for a positive future.

IT Management
For IT teams equipping employee workstations and home offices, Brio 300 series webcams are compatible with most video conferencing platforms and certified for use with Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and Google Meet. Brio 305 can easily be deployed across organizations and remotely managed through Logitech Sync, resulting in fewer help desk tickets.

Approach to Sustainability
Logitech is committed to creating a more equitable and climate-positive world by actively working to reduce our carbon impact. The plastic parts in both Brio 300 and Brio 305 include certified post-consumer recycled plastic* to give a second life to end-of-use plastic from old consumer electronics: 62% for graphite and 48% for off-white and rose. The paper packaging comes from FSC-certified forests and other controlled sources. By choosing this product, you are supporting responsible management of the world’s forests.

All Logitech products are certified carbon neutral and use renewable energy where possible. The carbon footprint of all Logitech products, including Brio 300 and Brio 305, have been reduced to zero by supporting forestry, renewables and climate-impacted communities that reduce carbon.

Pricing and Availability
Brio 300 and Brio 305 will be available globally in January 2023 on logitech.com and at other major retailers. The suggested retail price for both webcams is $69.99 USD.
